Plastic thermal forming process is a method of making use of hot plastic sheet as raw material in its high elastic state. The requirements on materials including: have good heating extension, higher height and diameter than (tensile ratio) and good extension. Secondly, we should have sufficiently high tensile strength, impact strength and pinhole resistance; (2) the requirements of composite products, need to have good thermal adhesive strength; good transparency and gloss, to facilitate packaging exhibition; the waste packaging is easy to deal with; sixthly, for food and pharmaceutical packaging products should also has non-toxic, tasteless or low taste requirements and have color printing requirements of products, corona treatment and so on.

Thermoforming is mainly used for production of thin shell products, product types and sizes, but are generally cup shape is relatively simple, tray, cover, medical containers, instruments and meters and radio shell and children's toys and so on. The wall thickness of the product is small, the thickness of the sheet is 1~2mm, and the thickness of the product is smaller than that of the product. The area of the product can be great, but the shape of the leopard is a half shell (inner concave convex), so its depth is limited. The choice of a variety of plastic products depends on the use of the product to limit the use of the property. Therefore, the principle of the selection of hot molding can only be used for heat forming processing of plastic varieties. Broadly speaking, all the hot plasticity plastics are suitable for thermoforming, because the plastic has a common characteristic, namely under the heating condition, the elastic modulus of the material and bear load capacity decreased rapidly. But in the practical application, it is necessary to determine whether a material can be used in the thermal performance, mechanical properties and aggregation structure of the material. In order to determine the requirements of the material, the best way is to make the test sample, or reasonably estimate the most suitable material thickness for a particular product.
